1. Energy Savings

RCR has reduced its electricity consumption by 45% in the last 10 years, equivalent to a small town's average consumption (5,845 inhabitants). RCR has reduced its gas consumption by 28%, the equivalent of heating 2,586 residential homes.

2. Energy Recovery

Energy is constantly recycled at RCR. The energy released by machines is recovered and reused while the heating is conveyed to fuel the heating system. At RCR, energy is not wasted, the heat of the machines heats the workers' showers and the canteen through radiators, and when a production machine brakes (about 300,000 times a day) the energy developed is recovered and reused

3. Water Recycling

RCR recycle 40% of water used in the production process. The water that cannot be recycled is decanted and treated to make it pure.

4. Ethically Managed Raw Materials

Unlike other manufacturers, RCR does not use raw materials that emit nitrogen oxides, the main cause of acid rain. RCR carries out a more complex production process to achieve the highest quality, without using rare raw materials useful for medical purposes. For example, they have not chosen "Gadolinium" because it is rare and indispensable for the machines that do CT scans.

Made in Italy RCR Glassware products are made of Eco-Crystal, a material of the highest quality made with respect for the environment. Some additional measures taken include various energy saving systems and applications, but with the final glass products being of high standards to make your cocktails, wines and premium liquors look good in the latest glassware styles while creating new trends. 

Heat Recovery System

Use of heat absorbers in strategic positions of the production process, which allow heat to be recovered. The recycled heat is reused to heat the factory showers and the canteen.

KERS – Energy Recovery

Kinetic Energy Recovery System.  When a production machinery brakes, the kinetic energy is recovered and used to produce electricity.

Use of Mechatronic Applications

Mechanism that combines mechanics and electronics, whose use in RCR allows an energy saving of 20% compared to the hydraulic/pneumatic machines generally used.
