2010 Student Scholarships

Young Chefs Hard at Work

We, at Southern Hospitality Ltd, are delighted to congratulate the students who have been awarded a 2010 scholarship.  There are 16 winners of scholarships for hospitality students and three for bakery students. The scholarship programme is designed to give students studying at recognised tertiary institutions the opportunity to apply for a grant towards their study fees.

Scholarships to the value of $2,000 are for 2010 second year students training in all areas of hospitality and bakery. It is open to all first year students who wish to further their knowledge by undertaking a second year of study. The industry applications were judged by New Zealand Chef’s Association Wellington branch president Anita Sarginson and industry consultant Howard Osborne and the Bakery Scholarships by Clifford Banks and Jason Heaven all well known within the industry.
