Southern Hospitality are excited to be part of the recently opened (May 2022) dual tower hotel development for Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre & voco Auckland City Centre developed and operated by Pro-invest Group.

This innovative hotel project involved a few elements and a few floors of both hotels!

If we start at the top in the Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre, the working name was the Level 38 Bar, which in fact it is the highest rooftop bar in Auckland. With impressive panoramic views across the city, the bar itself had tough competition for attention! But Southern Hospitality Project Teams along with Project Stainless have delivered a superior custom-made Mixologist Suite to fit the scene perfectly.  Along with the stainless steel framing, bench top, custom-made Skope fridge, Meiko dishwasher and Cyber Chill fridge this new bar is one to visit, whether staying in the hotel or just wanting to enjoy spectacular cocktails with a million dollar view. Set to open in August 2022.

Heading down to Level 2 - a Reception Bar/Café and well equipped kitchen were installed. Project Stainless fitted a bar spine wall, l-shaped bar bench and integrated ice well. There is a Festive edf52 and a Skope 4 sliding door back-bar chiller.

There is also a breakfast bar fitted for the Holiday Inn Express guests that is fitted with an extensive range including:

Level 2 Kitchen

The well-equipped level 2 kitchen was fitted with 3 knee-operated water basins with a stainless steel island bench with a double overshelf. A cool room, freezer room and beverage cool room were all designed by Project Design and custom built.

With 201 rooms , this state-of-the-art hotel is voco’s debut hotel in New Zealand. In the heart of the Auckland CBD – it has opened just in time for the anticipated influx of tourists, with borders reopening to all 1^st July.

Kitchen & Pizzeria

The ground floor Italian Trattoria is fitted out to not only offer a hearty a’la carte breakfast, barista coffee and offer a grab and go breakfast, but to also serve authentic Italian for lunch and dinner. The installation of a wood-fired pizza oven to delight guests with classic Italian pizzas topped with locally sourced seasonal produce. A bespoke wine list, classic cocktails and delicious pasta dishes, it’s worth a visit for guests and visitors for lunch and dinner
