This Potter's Mark Temuka Plate is ideal for serving main courses and will also complement decorated desserts. With a diameter of 210mm, 250mm, and 270mm, this Seaspray Temuka Plate is part of the Potter's Mark collection. This range of crockery is ideal for a variety of restaurants and cafés and complements delicious food with great design.

The glazes on Temuka pieces are fired to 1200 Deg.C. These are applied to bisque porcelain (also fired to 1200 Deg.C.). This ensures that the glazes are as hard and as durable as it is possible to make them as they become part of the porcelain. Because of this and the absence of water absorption, the glazes will not craze in normal conditions. Lead is not used in the glazes, which means they are always food safe.

Potter's Mark

Potters’ Mark bowls and plates are made from hand-thrown original models. The potter’s finger marks are embossed in the clay as they process the product on the potter’s wheel. These marks create hold points, runs and pools in the hand-applied glaze finish.

Sea Spray celebrates the beautiful erratic whitecaps we are privileged to see on our shores. A stunning reactive glaze speaks of depth and wildness while showcasing an exceptional level of class and craftsmanship. Also complimented by a selection of high-sided pieces.

This contemporary dinnerware collection echoes the way the potter's hand moves over the clay to form the work. Potter's Mark, first released in 2017, is a collection of dinnerware with a genuine connection to the potter. Styled with spiralling finger marks on the clay's surface these works are faithfully reproduced keeping that handcrafted feel.

You will find evidence of the craftsman's touch. There are hold points with glaze textures moving by. The runs and pools of the glaze as they fall over the shapes give wild variations in texture and form. The palette of colours in the Sea Spray Range gives rich bases that present a natural, sandstone look and feel. We see coffee colours in the highlights.

The range is fully commercial-vitrified with edge strength chip resistance, heat retention, and resistance to dishwasher chemicals and oven heat, so it is well suited for the food service industry (cafes, restaurants, bars and more).
