This item is labelled as an accessory which means that it doesn’t have to be mounted in our factory, but can easily be attached to existing products and coming orders.

Why use eutectic plates?

Eutectic plates add cooling capacity for ambient, cold and hot boxes. Use it to transform an ambient or hot box into a cold box for temporary cooling operations. If you have long transports without access to electricity, a eutectic plate can easily and conveniently offer extra cooling support. Our new eutectic plate holder is an accessory which means it doesn’t have to be mounted, but just added on top of the runners (se video below). This is a very flexible solution that requires minimal space inside the box. In fact, you can utilize full pan capacity in your box.

How do I get the maximum cooling capacity out of the eutectic plate?

The eutectic liquid must be completely frozen (solidified) before you can use the eutectic plate. If you can hear or see the liquid moving, it means that there are not enough frigories in the eutectic liquid and the cold capacity will be reduced. You can control the freezing of your cold accumulators by shaking the plate. Any movement resulting from a liquid or semi-liquid state indicates that the eutectic solution is not deeply frozen.

At which temperature must the plate be frozen?

The freezing temperature of the eutectic plate must be at least 5°C below the eutectic liquid melting temperature. Our eutectic plates has a liquid melting temperature of -3°C which means that it must be frozen at least at -8°C.

How long is the freezing time for the eutectic plates?

The freezing time can vary from 6 to 24 hours depending on the refrigeration unit used. Permanently keeping a second set of eutectic plates in the refrigeration unit ensures the immediate availability of the cold.

How can I speed up the freezing time of the eutectic plates?

In order to speed up the freezing process, the eutectic plates must be separated from one another in the freezer, at least by 3 cm. If they are piled up, the cold air cannot circulate between them, which significantly increases the freezing time.
