Taupo Cycle Challenge

Southern Hospitality have a fun-loving culture and are proud to be part of New Zealand’s hospitality industry. To stay on top of our game, we understand the importance of keeping ourselves physically and mentally fit and we do this with several wellness initiatives throughout the year.

So earlier this year, together with suppliers and family, we pulled together a 32 strong cycling team to take on the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge which has held on 30th November. The team competed in either the Road or the Mountain Bike Race completing distances anywhere from 40km to 160km.

This was a challenging and fun event that gave us a great opportunity to train hard for an endurance event as well as bond as a team. We are very fortunate to have had generous support from our suppliers who sponsored the ride and, in some cases rode with us. We would like to thank Moffat, Washtech, Skope, Cossiga, Simply Stainless, Silver Chef and Robot Coupe.
