NZChefs National Salon 2016

NZChefs have announced that following a highly successful event last year, New Zealand’s Hospitality Championships are returning for 2016!

The NZChefs National Salon will once again be held at the Logan Campbell Centre at ASB showgrounds from Thursday July 28th to Sunday July 31st, alongside the Auckland Food Show.

Southern Hospitality will be running a Chef’s Shop at the event, as well as providing equipment for the event, some of which will be available at a reduced rate after the show.
As well as the popular Nestle Toque d’Or, the Salon offers competitions for a variety of ages such as The Curry Cup, Kiwi Kids Can Cook, Barista, Bartender and Bed Making classes as well as many open, training and Secondary School Culinary and Restaurant Service events.

Please note that the “of the Year” competitions require qualification via a regional competition. These competitions are:

• -Chef of the Year
• -Commis Chef of the Year
• -Pastry Chef of the Year
• -Barista of the Year
• -Service Professional of the Year
• -Cocktail Champion of the Year
• -Bartender of the Year
• -Training Service Person of the Year
• -Beef and Lamb College Challenge (ISSCC)
• -Kiwi Kids Can Cook (Primary School Competition)
