Armando's Kitchen

Armando’s Kitchen is a popular Italian kitchen in Cromwell and it was brought down by an electrical fire in November 2017. Since the restaurant is located in the town’s historic precinct and the building is managed by the Old Cromwell Incorporated Society.

Since the society wanted to preserve the historic nature and design of this building, Project Design International worked closely with the kitchen’s owner Armando Varlotta, the builders and the society to ensure its authenticity was preserved.

Southern Hospitality along with Project Design International and Project Stainless Ltd were responsible to bring this beautiful space back to life.

The kitchen has been fitted with a Turbofan oven, a deep fryer, a 4 burner cooktop and a pasta maker all by Blue Seal, a Moretti Forni double deck pizza oven and a Menumaster microwave oven.

The entire cookline is housed under an extraction canopy made by Project Stainless Ltd and is supported by pipe wall-shelves by Simply Stainless to keep and pots and pans within reach.

The kitchen also has a Delta Benchtop Pizza Prep Chiller which allows for chefs to easily reach for pizza ingredients to make them faster.

The clean-up area has a Starline XP dishwasher supported by a Fisher pre-rinse mixer tap.

The front of house has a Festive ambient cabinet placed on top of a Festive chilled cabinet. We also placed an ice cream cabinet to display all their ice cream and gelato.

The counter also houses a Delta bottle chiller and a Starline XG under-counter glasswasher.
